Cucumbers sold in Wisconsin linked to Salmonella infections

(WLUK) -- The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) is urging residents to check their homes for recalled cucumbers following an outbreak of Salmonella.

68 people in 19 states have become infected with the outbreak strain of salmonella. Three cases have been reported in Wisconsin.

The DHS said in a statement they are working with the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection (DATCP), local health departments, and federal partners to investigate the outbreak.

According to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the cucumbers were sold by SunFed Produce, LLC (SunFed) and shipped to 26 states between October 12 and November 26. Wisconsin is among the 26 states the cucumbers were shipped to.
